Description of research project or assignment:
Starting the last week in October, students will begin working to find their own research focuses and in that process also learn how to find one "scholarly" and two "popular" sources via the MATC Library Databases. Ultimately they will draft and revise a 4-page Researched Argument Essay as their capstone assignment for the semester using those four sources, using MLA in-text citation and creating an MLA Works Cited page.

Additional Information::
Students will spend approximately four weeks partaking in scaffolded assignments designed to help them produce their 4-page Rough Drafts of the Researched Argument Essay by 11/29. They will then engage in Peer Assessment of those drafts and work to revise their Researched Argument Essays by semester's end.
