Sustained Writing - Word Sprints In-Person
Word sprints are bursts of writing, usually lasting 15-25 minutes. Write without editing, and then take a break for five minutes, repeat. Based on the Pomodoro Method (25 minutes of work, 5 minutes of rest), word sprints help to get the words out.
During the sprinting time, silence is observed. During break time, participants are free to chat if they like. It is recommended to use the break time to stretch and look away from your screen if using a device for your writing to battle eye and muscle fatigue that come from prolonged sitting and usage of a computer.
Come and go as you please, as this overlaps with lunchtime.
